Step-by-Step Instruction for making 4-stranded Bracelet (Friendship Band) with Satin Cord

Friendship Day is approaching and I feel that there is no better gift than a handmade gift for your lovely friends. So, I have decided to teach you how to make simple-yet-beautiful friendship band with Satin Cord (Malai Dori). All you have to do is follow the steps given below.

Materials you may need:

Scissors
Satin Cord (Malai Dori)

Tip: For making this bracelet you can use one color Satin Cord but I would suggest using two colors or four colors Satin Cords to get wonderful results.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Take two Satin Cords and cut two strands of around 24 inches of each color. (If you are using 4 colors then cut 12 inches strand of each color).

Step 2: Take those two strands and grab them from middle to a tie a knot forming four strands like this.

Step 3: Now, you have to start braiding a four stranded braid like this.

Step 4: Take strand 1 (right most strand) under strand 2.

Step 5: Now, take strand 1 over the strand 3.

Step 6: After that, take the strand 1 under strand 4

Step 7: You have to keep in mind that now your strand 2 is strand 1 (choose the right most strand) and it has to go under over and under of other three strands. Repeat the above steps with the right most strand and you will get something like this.
