Gota Lace

Gota Laces, also known as Gota Trims were traditionally made from real gold and real silver strips. They were used for the embellishment of royal attire. However, now gota laces are made of metallic strips and synthetic threads which make them light in weight and highly durable. The thin and flat metallic strips are interwoven together with synthetic threads. Some of the laces are embossed with beautiful patterns while others are plain. They are popularly used for the embellishment of sarees, suits and other ethnic wears.
