Raksha Bandhan is not just about expensive gifts and expensive Rakhis, it is about rejoicing the most beautiful bond of love that a brother and sister share. So, make this Raksha Bandhan special by expressing your love for your brother by making your own DIY Rakhi.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to make a beautiful Rakhi in no time.

Materials Required:

  1. Red Cotton Thread
  2. Half Cut Pearl
  3. Red Crystal Cup Chain
  4. Gold Crystal Cup Chain
  5. Metal Beads
  6. Glue
  7. Scissors or Cutter
  8. Any Thick paper sheet
  9. Velvet Ribbon

Step-by-Step Instruction:

Step 1:  Cut a square piece from the thick sheet and glue the half cut pearl in the middle of the square piece.

Step 2: Take the gold crystal cup chain and glue it around the pearl.

Step 3: Cut the extra crystal cup chain.

Step 4: Now, take the red crystal cup chain and glue it around the gold crystal cup chain. Cut the extra chain.

Step 5: Again, take the red crystal cup chain and glue it around the red crystal cup chain. Cut the extra chain.

Step 6: Now, we have to cut the design from the sheet. Carefully, cut the flower with the help of the cutter.

Step 7: Now, we will create two more flowers but this time we will only glue one gold color chain and one red color chain.

Step 8: This is what we will get.

Step 9: Take the ribbon and cut it into the shapes of these flowers to form the base.

Step 10: Cut two 15 inches of cotton threads and pass them through four metal beads. Keep distance between beads like shown in this picture so that you can stick your flowers on the thread.

Step 11: Glue the thread at the back of the big flower.

Step 12: Now, glue the velvet ribbon we had cut before over that back of the flower to secure the thread at its place.

Step 13: Repeat the above steps for other two flowers.

Step 14: Tie knot at the end of both the beads like this
